Religious bronze commissions carry expectations beyond the artistic — iconography, vesture, gesture and attribute all need to be correct for the tradition the piece serves. We work to the parish, diocese or community’s guidance rather than interpreting freely.

Getting the iconography right
Tell us the figure, the tradition and any specific attributes, vesture or inscription required. We produce a maquette and detailed drawings for approval by the commissioning body before full-size sculpting begins, so clergy or committee sign-off happens while changes are still inexpensive.

Casting and finish
Cast in silicon bronze by the lost-wax process, in sections for larger figures, with seams chased by hand. Patinas range from traditional dark brown and antique green to lighter tones for interior settings; gilding and polished highlights can be applied to haloes, crowns and detail.

Interior and exterior siting
Exterior figures are anchored through a concealed base plate into a concrete pad, engineered for wind loading. Interior pieces are supplied with a finished plinth or fixing detail to suit the floor. Inscription plaques can be cast or engraved and fitted before delivery.
