Custom Sculpture for Architecture, Public Art & Landscape

A custom marble statue is carved to your subject — a portrait, a religious figure, a classical commission, or an original design. Because carving is subtractive, the process front-loads all the decisions: once stone is removed it cannot be put back.

From reference to maquette
We work from photographs, drawings or a description. A maquette is produced and approved first — proportion, pose and drapery are settled at small scale, where changes cost days rather than weeks.

Choosing the block
Veining and colour vary between blocks of the same marble, and a vein running through a face is not something that can be corrected later. We photograph the actual block and send it for approval before carving starts.

Carving
The block is roughed out by CNC from the approved 3D model, which removes weeks of mechanical work, then finished entirely by hand — faces, hands and drapery are carved by a sculptor, not machined. Surfaces are polished, honed or left with tooled texture as the design requires.

Weight and installation
Large statues are carved in sections joined with concealed stainless dowels and epoxy. We supply weights, lifting points and base loadings in advance, crate in braced cases with foam protection, and ship worldwide with installation guidance.
