Sculpture in a commercial setting carries a brief beyond aesthetics: it signals the tenant’s positioning, gives the building a recognisable identity, and in leasing terms makes a space memorable to people walking through it. It also has to be specified to a developer’s programme and budget.
Lobbies, atriums and courtyards. Interior work is constrained by access and structure — door widths, lift dimensions, floor loadings and fixing into finished surfaces. We design larger pieces as bolted sections that assemble on site, and issue weights and point loads early so the structural engineer can sign off the slab before anything ships.
Suspended and atrium installations. Hanging work needs rigging calculations, certified fixings and a documented load path into the building structure. We supply these with the drawings; most building managements require them before installation is permitted.
Brand and colour matching. Finishes can be matched to a corporate palette using PVD plating or automotive-grade paint to a supplied reference. We produce sample panels for approval first, since metallic finishes shift noticeably under different lighting temperatures.
Can you work to our programme? Yes. We commit to fabrication dates, supply progress photographs at milestones, and time shipping so delivery matches site readiness rather than arriving months early and needing storage.
What documentation do you provide? Renders and general arrangement drawings, structural calculations, fixing details, weights and point loads, material certificates and finish samples — the package a main contractor and building management will ask for.
